- Must have a common law education
- Min 12-15?years PQE with at least 8 years in a leadership role
- Fluency in Arabic is essential
- Extensive media experience required ? exposure to sports law is highly desirable
Our client is an international broadcasting organization with a presence across all key media locations on an international level. With an established profile and a leading operator in the GCC this organisation is certainly an employer of choice.
With a focus on media sports this organisation will certainly appeal to a General Counsel who offers a background in sports law, competition law and IP.
Key responsible/accountabilities:
- Providing legal support for all of the corporate and commercial activities;
- Responsible for the regulatory affairs and dealings with the relevant Authorities, the local regulatory body from a companies and content law perspective;
- Responsible for documenting and ensuring adherence to the key transaction documents including the Joint Venture Agreement and Trade Mark Licence Agreement
- Constructing and providing editorial compliance and monitoring
- Advising the business concerning its rights deals both from an acquisition and distribution perspective
- Actively participates and contributes to all aspects of the wider management team
The successful candidate will possess an excellent western education in common law, trained within an international law firm and offer 12 - 15 PQE. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential. Worked within the media sports and have the drive and ambition to join a global team of international lawyers.
