Riesling Wines Shine at Los Angeles International Wine & Spirits ...

Thirty Riesling wines from around the world were awarded Gold medals at the recent Los Angeles Wine & Spirits Competition, which included 3,190 entries from 988 wineries in 17 countries. Among the 30 Gold medals for Riesling, 13 were from New York?s Finger Lakes region;, 4? from British Columbia; 3 each from? California ?and? Washington; 2 each? from Australia and Wisconsin; and one each from Germany, Michigan, and Ontario, Canada.

The competition included two price categories for Riesling: Up to $14.99, and $15 and above, and also assigns number scores to Gold medal wines. Of the 30 Gold medal wines, 18 were under $15, underscoring the excellent value that Riesling represents for consumers.?
