Here are a few of the online productivity tools and apps we use at Crossroads to help us work efficiently.
NoteAbility is like a legal pad. My uses:
- write all meeting notes and email to other participants before they leave
- write all of my task lists
- keep business and blog ideas
- jot down phone numbers or other quick tasks
- journal
- keep track of marketing projects, prospects and other working on your business stuff.
- sign .pdf documents or make notes on .pdf documents
Evernote - is like a virtual file cabinet.? I can email certain notes directly to Evernote. Once I send it to Evernote then I immediately have the same information available on my iPad, iPhone and Mac Book Pro, as Evernote syncs in the clouds and has apps for all of my devices. Voila! A virtual file cabinet.? It is also a great tool for sharing information and collecting information from the web with a couple of clicks.
Highrise (a 37signals.com module) ? is our customer database.? We keep track of all pertinent data on our clients and prospects.? We also leave notes as applicable about our client contact.
Basecamp ( a 37signals.com module) ? is our project management system.? This tracks work with each client.? We can upload files, have conversations, develop task lists and set a calendar of events.? It is extremely user friendly and has many places to view recent activity on a given project, day, or user.
Practice Pay Solutions ? we have both our shopping cart and merchant account through Practice Pay Solutions.? This provides us with a professional system for clients to purchase our services and products and also provides additional features like delivering ebooks and sending out auto-responders.
Harvest Time Keeping System - is a time keeping system (highly recommend it at www.harvestapp.com ) which functions as a billing system and a timekeeper for paying us and other contract workers.? One excellent feature of Harvest is the tracking of our time by task.? This gave us insight into the type of needs our clients have and how much of our business is really devoted to each area.? This has helped us improve our management of key areas and find additional resources for heavy areas.
WordPress ? is the platform we use for our websites www.christianbusinesscrossroads.com?and www.crossroadcounselor.com.? We have found WordPress very easy to learn and use.? It has many themes to choose from.? Our sites currently run on the Thesis Theme.
