LastPass Sentry Warns You When Your Online Accounts Have Been Breached [Lastpass]

LastPass Sentry Warns You When Your Online Accounts Have Been BreachedLastPass, our favorite password manager, has added a new feature called LastPass Sentry that automatically emails you whenever it detects a breach on one of your online accounts.

It's been a big year for security breaches. From Zappos to Dreamhost to Last.fm and LinkedIn. Now, LastPass has partnered with PwnedList, a database of publicly leaked usernames and passwords, to create LastPass Sentry. Sentry checks PwnedList's database daily for email addresses and matches it against your LastPass vault. If it finds any matching emails, it'll send you a notice that your account has been breached and that you need to change your password. It's a much, much easier way to keep up with any security breaches that happen around the net, and while it's no replacement for good security habits, it's one more way to keep your accounts safe and secure. hit the link to read more.
